Well Equipped Kitchen: Full gas range with oven, Additional wood fired oven, Quality utensils, pots, pans, knives, stirers, baking trays etc ( but no 240 volt appliances), quality crockery, full sized refrigerator, 6 seat dining setting.
Spacious, sunny living room with great views: Two large sofas, CD Player, Views across buttongrass moorland to southern ranges, Cosy wood heater, Selection of books and games.
Master Bedroom: Queen bed and great views.
Second Bedroom: Queen and two rollaway single beds.
Bathroom: Walk in shower (level access, no lip), Composting toilet, Basin, mirror, Fully sealed commercial vinyl wet area floor and walls. Outdoor bath under the stars.
Laundry: Hand wash trough. There is no iron, washing machine or dryer.
Easy Limited Mobility Access: Walk in shower (level access, no lip). You may take an outdoor chair into the shower if you wish. One level, Ramp from car park. Limitations: Doors are standard width so require some care for wheelchair access. There are no grab rails or shower seats in the bathroom.
Outdoor Deck: Huge deck runs full length of building, Barbeque, Outdoor dining setting, Outdoor bath, Amazing views
Social distancing is easy at Buttongrass Retreat. Closest neighbour eastward is 300 metres. Closest neighbour westward is 17,000 kilometres !
Important note: This is a place to retreat to nature and escape from the hassles of modern life for a few days. Get away from television, phones and 240 volt electricity and enjoy some peace and quiet. 12 volt solar electricity operates the lights, music and fridge. There is usually limited 240 volt electricity, enough to charge a mobile phone or camera or run a laptop computer. CPap machines have been found to run successfully but as each machine is different, we make no guarantee that your machine will operate all night.
