Shiatsu is a Japanese form of deep tissue massage that is done through clothing.
Working along the same meridian channels as is used in acupuncture, the knots and tensions of the body are worked out to allow the blood and energy of the body to flow smoothly again. Using thumbs, palms, elbows and sometimes even knees, shiatsu works the entire body and leaves you feeling relaxed and calm. Shiatsu can be particularly helpful for neck, shoulder and back issues and the resultant aches and pains that come with these.
Juanita has been practicing Shiatsu since 1999. Along with her decades of experience, she is also an Iyengar Yoga teacher and has practiced as a Registered Nurse. Combining the knowledge gained from these modalities, Juanita can help release the habitual tension that we hold in the body.
