Located in Southport, Tasmania’s Far South, we provide a relaxing and comfortable place to stay for anyone enjoying a quiet getaway in a natural setting with wilderness and wildlife at your doorstep. We are not far from a choice of four beaches in Southport and just a short drive away from the Southwest Wilderness World Heritage area.
The handcrafted Cottage was built with the aim to offer a great base for visitors whilst exploring Tasmania’s Far South. The well-insulated cottage is clad in Celery Top Pine, a native Tasmanian timber. There are two bedrooms, both with queen size beds, the second one with a bunk bed as well. The cottage is suitable for couples, families or friends travelling together. There is one bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen.
The large deck is great for birdwatching or just relaxing with a glass of wine and breathing in some of the cleanest air on the planet.
The forest and native garden setting provides home for many birds, lizards, pademelons and other wildlife and ensures privacy in a relaxing environment. A short walking track leads into the surrounding bush.
The cottage is best suited to accommodate up to 4 adults or a family of up to 6 guests.
