Welcome to the Anchorage Waterfront Retreat, located on the banks of the iconic Huon River between Castle Forbes Bay and Port Huon in the beautiful Huon Valley. With no road or traffic between you and the river we are the only true riverfront accommodation in the region. You will have stunning panoramic views of the Huon River and the Wellington Range with the prominent ‘Sleeping Beauty’ mountain in the distance.
The tranquillity of the Huon River can be enjoyed at any time of the year and the Anchorage offers a unique opportunity to stay in total comfort right on the river’s edge surrounded by nature in the beautiful Huon Valley.
The Anchorage provides fully self-contained deluxe accommodation with everything you need and is available as 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom (2 guests) or 2 bedrooms, 2 bathroom (for additional guests). Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, bedroom 2 has a king size bed or can be split into 2 singles. Additionally, infants and young children can be accommodated in a cot or rollaway bed.
You can take a dip in the solar heated pool and relax in the sauna. After your day out exploring the region take in the incredible views from the upstairs deck or by the pool.
With the lawn reaching to the water’s edge, you can wander down to our jetty, throw out a line and be enchanted by the surrounding views.
You may spot dolphins and seals venturing to this area of the river and a mooring is available for your boat by prior arrangement.
For two couples travelling together or a family with older children the second bedroom and bathroom is downstairs. For parents with an infant or toddler a cot or rollaway bed is available in the master suite upstairs. Please advise child’s age.
